Connecting Hands OF CARE
This program will begin when the requested funds to operate the program are received. There will be a notice and flyers sent out to shelters and other locations when the program begins along with the rules of for each part of the program.
First Part of this program`
Connecting Hands of Care is a program within the department of homelessness, a department of the Transology Association Inc.. This section of the Program helps homeless people survive outside in all types of weather. We supply them with the needed supplies to stay warm and cool in winter and summer weather conditions. Most homeless do not have jobs and need help surviving in all extreme weather conditions. Some homeless do have jobs but still will need the assistance to get the needed supplies to survive in the winter and summer weather.
We try to supply them with their needs to survive in all types of weather like tents, extreme cold waterproof sleeping bags, water proof back packs, thermal wear, winter clothes, snow boots, hand warmers, blankets help finding shelter, help with transportation, clothes closet locations. The list continues for Homeless summer needs..
Part Two of the Homeless Program
CONNECTING HANDS DEPOT
THIS section provides a location that allows the homeless to have a place they can go to get inside, out of the weather for warmth in the winter and cooling in the summer. Here we provide coffee, tea and snacks with a tv to watch, adult games to occupy their time and a place they can meet to use Wi-Fi and hold conversations and sit on comfortable furniture to relax. This location would be open during day time hours during the weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM. This program can help the homeless to fight sickness from cold weather conditions and give shelter in the summer months to cool off from the summer heat. We will also have counselors come in to help homeless with depression and other means of help like job search and medical care assistance and other asistance for helping homeless individuals. Third Part of Program ...
Free Shuttle Bus Transportation
This part of our program enlist the use of our 14 passenger shuttle bus we acquired for this part of the program.
The shuttle bus provides free transportation to the homeless population in York, Pennsylvania. This program is not completely free. Donation are accepted but mandatory to help pay for gas to run the bus, help pay for the maintenance for the bus, Pa State inspection, oil changes and and other bus expenses. Donations are not mandatory but we will have a donation bucket as you enter the bus to place your donation.
There will be bus routes listed in shelters where homeless stay that details the bus routes
There will also be phone in pick ups where a homeless person can call the shuttle bus and ask if they could be picked up at their particular location, if the bus is in route toward their location. This is just a rough draft of how the transportation program will work just to give an idea of how the transpsortation can help those needing transportation.. This is subject to changes without notice between now and when the program starts.
The shuttle bus program will operate between the hours of 8 AM to 9 PM Tuesday through Fridays. Saturday schedules have not been set up yet but coming in near future.
Rules for riding the Shuttle Bus
1. There will be no fighting on the Shuttle Bus, anyone fighting will be dropped off at the next stop and not
allowed to ride the shuttle bus again for 2 weeks, no exceptions ... will be enforced
2. Anyone caught throwing anything in the bus at someone or just throwing something will be asked to leave the bus at the next stop and not be allowed to ride the bus again for 2 weeks ... will be enforced
3. There will be no running back and forth on the bus while it is in motion or at anytime .... will be enforced
4. If you leave the bus and you have left garbage behind you will be band from riding the bus for 1 week
will be enforced
5. There will be no yelling or hanging out the windows of the bus. This rule will be enforced. Any one caught hanging out the windows or yelling out a window or on the bus will be asked to leave the bus at the next stop and not allowed back on the bus for 1 week.
6. If you bring food onto the bus and you spill your food or drink you will be responsible for cleaning up the mess you made immediately.

6. There will be no arguing on the bus while it is in motion or at anytime. if you are caught arguing you will
be asked to leave the bus at the next stop and not allowed back on the bus for 2 weeks

7. No drugs of any kind will be allowed on the bus, this includes medical marihuana. If caught with drugs you will be band from ever using the bus again. will be enforced
8. There will be no alcohol of any kind allowed on the bus at any time. If caught with alcohol you will be band from ever using the bus again. Will be enforced
9. There will be no animals allowed on the bus with the exception of service animals.
A. Definition ... Service Animal Defined by Title II and Title III of the ADA. A service animal means any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.
B. If a service animal is on the bus no passenger will be allowed to touch the animal. The owner of the Service animal must have complete control of their service animal at all times. If the Service animal relieves itself the owner is responsible for cleaning up after their service animal. will be enforced
10. This shuttle bus is a curtesy of The Connecting Hands of Care Program, through The Transology Association Inc. It is your transportation, follow the rules and keep the bus clean at all times.
