We try to supply them with their needs to survive in all types of weather like tents, extreme cold waterproof sleeping bags, water proof back packs, thermal wear, winter clothes, snow boots, hand warmers, blankets help finding shelter, help with transportation, clothes closet locations. The list continues for Homeless summer needs..

Part Two of the Homeless Program

CONNECTING HANDS DEPOT

THIS section provides a location that allows the homeless to have a place they can get inside, out of the weather for warmth in the winter and cooling in the summer. Here we provide coffee, tea and snacks with a tv to watch and a place they can meet to use Wi-Fi and hold conversations and sit on comfortable furniture to relax. This location would be open during day time hours during the weekdays from 3:30 PM to 7 PM. This program can help the homeless to fight sickness from cold weather conditions and give shelter in the summer months to cool off from the summer heat. More information upon request ….

Third Part of Program ...
  Free Shuttle Bus Transportation

This part of our program enlist the use of our 14 passenger shuttle bus we acquired for this part of the program.
The shuttle bus provides free transportation to the homeless population in York, Pennsylvania. This program is not completely free. We would require a donation from each passenger that uses the bus for transportation. This donation is needed to help pay for gas to run the bus, help pay for the maintenance for the bus, Pa State inspection, oil changes and and other bus expenses.
If a passenger does not have the money to donate $1 dollar they will still be able to ride the shuttle bus. Donations are not mandatory but we will have a donation bucket as you enter the bus to place your donation. We wish the shuttle bus could be completely free but unfortunately it cost money to operate a bus. Once we get a grant to operate the bus, donations will no longer be ask for, at this time the shuttle bus will become completely free to homeless community.

There will be bus routes listed in shelters where homeless stay that details the bus routes
There will also be phone in pick ups where a homeless person can call the shuttle bus and ask if they could be picked up at their particular location.

The shuttle bus program will operate between the hours of 12 noon and 9 PM Tuesday through Fridays. Saturday schedules have not been set up yet but coming in near future.
